How does disc mulcher work?
From the picture below that the teeth on the disc are scientifically arranged through the Archimedean spiral. When the disc rotates at high speed through the hydraulic motor, we can see that the teeth on it will rotate with the disc at high speed. Because the teeth are sharp, when they encounter bushes, agricultural straw and trees, they will cut them. The cut debris will naturally fall to the ground, which is conducive to microbial degradation and return to nature.
How did the disc mulcher come about?
The earliest prototype of the disc-type brush cutter can be traced back to the Skid Steer Forestry Brush Cutter. As people’s demand for high-capacity and high-efficiency bruchs cutters became higher and higher, some end users began to DIY bruchs cutters by installing knives on the brush cutter discs. They clearly felt that the cutting efficiency was higher. However, after a long period of work, the discs often had problems due to the low thickness and hardness of the brush cutter discs. They soon thought of the manufacturer and asked the manufacturer to make a thicker disc and optimize the knives. This made them think of feller buncher. The disc of feller buncher was what they needed, and feller buncher teeth could also meet their needs, so many manufacturers began to design this new feller buncher, which could be installed on skid loaders instead of excavators, so the first generation of appearance appeared. With excellent cutting efficiency and rotatable square teeth, more and more drum mulcher manufacturers began to use their brands and production experience to quickly launch their own brand of disc mulcher. However, the disc mulcher models on the market are mainly 44′ and 60′ models. At first, they were mainly used for skid steers, and later evolved to excavators and farm tractors.
